Exciting Christmas Activities in Class
Dear parents and caregivers,
As we approach Christmas, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support. Over the past two weeks, the children have been enthusiastically discussing the festival, sharing key vocabularies such as Christmas tree, presents, and Santa. It has been delightful to see their excitement as they share their prior knowledge and experiences.
Through the story, "我喜欢圣诞节" (I Love Christmas!), the children have further reinforced their understanding of these important terms.
They have also enjoyed making Christmas trees with doilies, adding a festive touch to our classroom.
Additionally, we have learned a simple version of “Jingle Bells,” which you can find on the K1 Chinese learning slide. The children have been joyfully dancing and singing along, making our sessions even more enjoyable.
Lunar New Year Card Submission
ESF is seeking student artwork to celebrate the Year of the Snake for a Lunar New Year card and school displays.
Please submit here by 4pm on Thursday, 9 January, 2025.
We update our Chinese albums weekly, which serve as a wonderful resource for discussing your child's learning on
Chinese days. I encourage you to review the album with your child from time to time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at yammi.cheng@hillside.edu.hk.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas filled with joy and a New Year that brings you happiness!
