Class Blog - Panda Classes, Wednesday 3rd December
Dear Panda Class Families,
We hope you are well!
Thank you very much for joining us for our Shared Learning Day last week, it was lovely to have so many of you with us. We hope you enjoyed taking in a snapshot of our daily activities! The children did so well to share their knowledge of what we've been learning about with you, and a very big well done to them!
This is our final class blog for the term, and we'd like to say a huge thank you for all your support throughout the term. The children have done so well since joining us in August, and have grown so much developmentally and physically. We love teaching the Pandas!
Our week has started with Christmassy and Festive cheer. The Pandas are enjoying our outdoor blocks and role play home, which are being adorned with decorations. They are also learning how to throw beanbags into boxes wrapped as gifts, and have the option of exploring wet sand in the sensory tray.
The classroom has turned into a winter wonderland thanks to our sensory tray being filled with a beautiful snow scene. The children continue to strengthen their fine motor skills by colouring Christmas decorations and will soon be painting ornaments for the tree!
We are also collaborating together to decorate a paper tree using our skills to rip, tear, and cut sparkly paper which are proving to be beautiful additions!
In open play, the children are enjoying singing Festive songs and dancing in the Frog Class and fine motor fun in the Panda Class. The Monkey class is hosting a super sensory room and Christmas colouring sheets, whilst the Dolphin class is hosting a Christmas space theme in the sandpit.
We're going to be learning some fabulous Christmas songs, reading story books and learning about how Christmas is celebrated around the world during our class time, and we're also looking forward to class discussions about how you'll spend the upcoming holiday.
Tomorrow, we shall be visiting Bradbury's 'Teletubby Land' for a short adventure. Here, the children can explore the play area and get a feel for what a Primary school is like!

Hillside Winter Picnic
We cordially invite all families to join us at our Hillside Winter Picnic on Wednesday, 11 December. It will be an informal social event as it's the first social community gathering with all the families. We want to provide an opportunity for families to mingle and enjoy the time together. We will run two separate sessions for the morning and afternoon classes.
The logistics:
- We will meet all families directly at Repulse Bay Beach.
- 9:30-11:15am (morning classes) and 12:30-2:15pm (afternoon classes)
- Meet your class teacher by your class picnic area (in front of all the restaurants)
What to bring:
- Wear your choice of festive colours and comfy clothing
- Water and a light snack
- A picnic mat
- Buckets and spades
- Sunscreen and sunhats
- We plan to run a bake sale on this day, with all proceeds contributing to enhancing the children's excursions and learning experiences (e.g. paying for the sports day venue in February). Please bring some cash to support this fundraiser.
Please complete the trip eNotice to confirm your attendance. You can access the Gateway eNotice via the ESF App, and see a "new eNotice to fill in now."
We are looking forward to seeing you all!
We'd also like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year! We hope you enjoy the festive season with your families and loved ones!
Wishing you a good rest of the week and see you soon!
Best regards,
The Panda Team
