Panda Class Blog - 16th October 2024
Dear Panda Class Families,
Welcome back from the half-term holiday! We hope you enjoyed last week! We have loved hearing about what you have all been up to from the children.
Many thanks to those of you who have shared photos with us of your child in nature! We are working our way through the photos and the children have enjoyed standing up in front of the class and telling us about their experiences!
If you would like to add to our albums there is still time, so please add them to the following albums by the 25th of October:
I look forward to meeting many of you next week for our Parent Teacher Conferences, which will be held next Monday, 21st October, and Wednesday, 23rd October, on Zoom. Please contact the admin team if you would like to book an appointment with me.
This week, the children have been reconnecting with each other and enjoying exploring our 'Polar' themed sensory tray filled with pretend snow and ice as well as many polar animals!
The habitats area is still proving to be popular and we have been having lots of conversations related to animals and where they live.
We are learning about planting at the moment and yesterday read 'Jasper's Beanstalk'. We shall be doing some planting of our own in the coming weeks too!
During open play, the children have been enjoying snack time with their other K1 friends in the Dolphin class, where they also have the option of making a kite after eating their snack. We have been testing the kites outside, and they are especially effective when a breeze comes along!
Construction in the Frog class is going well and the children are creating some fantastic structures using half pipes and small balls.
The Panda Class is hosting a sensory and artistic-themed initiative using natural materials to paint with. This has been a great way to learn about colour mixing and different patterns!
Outside, the mud kitchen, water trays and climbing frame have been very popular too.
Here are our class photo albums for you to view:
And our Spotify Album is Here.
Wishing you a good rest of the week!
Best regards,
The Panda Team
