Dear parents and caregivers, We are excited to continue our UOI on Sharing the Planet! We read the story "Who Are You?" ( 你是谁? ) to learn more about various animals. The students enjoyed playing an animal guessing game during small group activities, which sparked their curiosity and engagement.  After exploring land animals, we shifted our focus to sea creatures, using the book "Underwater World" (海底世界) to discover marine life and their habitats. They examined seeds through hands-on sorting activities and played matching games to connect seeds with the plants they grow into. To relate planting to the fruit...

Dear Panda Class Families, We hope you are all keeping well.  The Pandas delved into the theme of Space last week! We learnt the names of planets in our solar system and talked about whether these planets were hot or cold. The children have impressed us with their prior knowledge relating to our Solar System. We also chatted about astronauts and what their jobs entail. We all liked the idea of having 'no gravity' for a day and had a giggle at the thought of us all floating around in Panda Class as if we were in Space! Sensory activities such as 'moon playdough' with astronauts were a great way for the children to engage and connect with our learning. We also painted planets and created textures using sponges and toothbrushes as well as bottle tops to make circles.  We learnt the song '5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer'   which has been added to our class Spotify album if you'd like to sing it at home. We also read the book 'The Way Back Home', by Oliv...
